Currently, the Richland School District is understaffed which leads to uncertainty with class schedules and a chance of lost learning possibilities for our children. I do believe that in-person learning is beneficial for our children as it is vital for social development. Unfortunately, the current health pandemic has caused additional difficulties with staffing for in-person learning. I am proposing that the Richland School Board allow and encourage our in-person students to not only have in-person classes taught by teachers with a Middle – Secondary Education Degree, but to allow these students to take advantage of online courses that may not be able to be offered in a live classroom setting due to staff shortages. A progressive opportunity where teachers, children, and parents can use teamwork and technology to bring education to the next level!
I am petitioning that the Richland School District Board and Administration to immediately develop a Hybrid Learning Opportunity in which our children can take advantage of In-Person Instruction and Online Instruction.
