The remediation of Surabaya Zoo

The pictures and documentaries emerging from Surabaya is quite simply the stuff of nightmares. I haven't got the words to describe the terrible condition and suffering of these animals, who lack proper food, medical care, sunlight and room to move.

The coditions as reported and witnessed, are truly terrible.

This appears to be largely attributable to one family who has vested and corrupt interests in the finances of the zoo.

This is animal cruelty at it's very worst.
