The corrupt Save Our Bacon scam threatens family farmers. We all need to make our voices heard and tell our Senators: NO on the Save Our Bacon scam!
The corrupt "Save Our Bacon Act" is an attack on farmers, animal welfare, and states' rights.
China-owned conglomerates and special interest groups are lobbying Congress to pass the scam so they can wipe out those responsible farming laws and undercut the family farmers who are benefiting from them. These laws are lifelines to the farmers, providing a market for them that allows them to compete and bring fair profits.
Farmers across the country have already made investments to modify their farms to meet these standards, and they will lose those investments and their market opportunity if the SOB Act passes.
TAKE ACTION: Fill out the form to send an email to your two U.S. Senators. Tell them to oppose the Save Our Bacon scam.
I urge you to vote NO on any amendments trying to put the corrupt Save Our Bacon into the Farm Bill, including any amendments from Sen Ernst that claim to be a compromise. This amendment would undermine American family farmers, override the will of voters, and benefit large industrial agriculture interests at the expense of local communities.
Our food policies should support responsible farming, protect consumers, and strengthen American family farmers--not create advantages for China-owned corporations. Americans deserve a food system that prioritizes transparency, healthier and humane food, and the interests of farmers and families here at home.
