Safety on the Road

This petition is for the residents, businesses and pedestrians who live on, do business in and rely on public transportation to ensure the safety of their persons, homes and businesses due to the unsafe road conditions and drivers who commute on Pleasant Valley Road in Newark, DE.

The use of the shoulder to gain access to the right turn lane has become an extremely unsafe condition for everyone on this roadway.  The light cycle is not in sync with the traffic flow and causes lenghty back-ups which cause vehicles to use the shoulder illegally to gain quicker access to the right turn lane.
