Demand equal job opportunities for convicted felons NOW!!

I'm sure everyone may not agree with this, but many will. Some of you either have or know someone with a felony and can relate with how hard it is to obtain employment. Felons have paid their debt to society yet they are still judged for the rest of their lives. It's hard to obtain employment when employers ask for a background check then won't hire you because of your felony.
This needs to end now! A person shouldn't be asked if he/she has a felony because it invades their privacy rights and most jobs automatically disqualify you. We shouldn't have to go to prison serve our time and still get treated as outcasts upon our release.
If we served our time, why does it matter what we did in the past? Felons apply themselves everyday to better themselves and their families, but if they can't obtain employment what do you think happens? They resort to their old ways in order to survive. How are these places EOE (equal opportunity employers) when felons aren't considered equal. It's a shame when you have to take a background check just to cut grass..Really!!
