End the sale of reptiles in pet stores now!

I was a manager of a big chain pet store in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada for over 3.5 years. I was in charge of the pet care department. Our reptile suppliers were horrible! They often shipped tiny hatchling geckos, bearded dragons and snakes. These reptiles were so small they did not stand a chance. Sometimes every animal they shipped died within hours or days.
Retailers can offer rescue reptiles instead! All stores stopped selling puppies and kittens years ago. They have all moved to adoptable pets. They turned into satalite rescue adoption centers. Why not the same for reptiles? Even small rodents and birds. There is probably more out there that are in need of rescue than we even know about.
When 25% to 100% of your reptile P.O. dies? What should we all do?? Nothing?? Animals are shipped to 4 stores in Winnipeg every single week!! If one dies from each store each week. That is 208 reptile deaths a year!! Times that by how many stores across Canada?? Those numbers are disgusting! This must stop! Let's at least get that supplier out of Ontario shut down!!
