Stop Walmart's inhumane treatment of fish!!

This is only ONE of MANY Walmarts where this is happening, but here is one of my PERSONAL experiences:
I visited a Walmart in Chicopee, Massachusetts and was horrified to see the conditions of these fish myself. I had heard of inhumane treatment of fish at Walmarts but didn't realize the extent of it until this day. They had Bettas which were ALL suffering from such bad fin rot that their fins were close to being completely GONE! They had at least 10 other fish tanks and several didn't even have the filters turned on. At least 75% of the goldfish in the goldfish tank were DEAD or dying because they couldn't breathe and were clearly not being fed. Not one tank was free from having at least a few dead fish. Some fish had obviously been dead and rotting for weeks if not months! This is REPULSIVE. The manager claimed that the fish came like that and that there was something wrong with them and they were to be replaced soon. She didn't even address the question of why the filters weren't turned on. Her explanation was a complete and utter LIE! It was confirmed by several employees that the people back there aren't trained and don't take care of the fish and that this has been an ongoing problem. A few employees who actually cared said they were sick of it too and that many other Walmarts had stopped selling fish due to this problem. This Walmart and other Walmarts that sell fish and do not take care of them need to stop this! PLEASE HELP DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BY SIGNING THIS PETITION AND/OR CALLING THEM YOURSELF! Next time you're in a Walmart, please take a moment to look at the conditions of the fish and please bring it to someone's attention so that maybe we can at least get someone to care for SOME of these fish while the Walmarts that still sell them continue to do so. These fish don't deserve this utterly inhumane treatment and something NEEDS to be done. If you want to stand up and take this a step further the number for the Walmart customer service department is 1800walmart and the number for the Walmart ethics department is 1800wmethic. It is in your hands to stand together and do something about this. The more people we can get to speak out against this treatment the more results we might be able to see. Thanks for caring <3
