Petition for helping the Young Ones

I am writing to you today to express my ideas on starting a new program at Mount Carmel Catholic College: that being the idea of a Big Brother and Big Sister program. All of this being related around the new Year Sevens of each year that come into our school as well as the Year Elevens or Tens of the grade. As a new year seven it is very terrifying coming into a new school, a new environment surrounded by people they haven’t met yet. However, being a New Year Seven comes with some negative feelings in it being the scaling system or the society hierarchy of High School.
Yet what I am suggesting is a program that can help Year 7’s be better welcomed into the school and not to be too frightened by the new school environment. The program of the “Big Brother and Big Sister”, it has been designed to help the grades involved. The Year 7’s get assigned to an older grade an example grade of Year 11, they the Year 11’s would take care of the Year 7’s helping them with problems that may arise or a simple friend to have in the playground.
