Limit The Navy's Use of Sonar

The Supreme Court has lifted the restrictions on the use of Navy sonar. This sonar temporaily deafens the whales, resulting in massive disorientation and strandings.
Whales hit by such sonar appear agitated and confused, and attempt to lift their heads above the water to end the torment. The sonar can also cause whales to surface too quickly, resulting in decompression sickness. The CAT scans of two whale corpses showed hemorrhaging in the brain.
Navy excerises used to be carried on offshare in deep waters. Instead, many are now carried out over underwater canyons, which beaked whales prefer as habitats. If this goes on, whales will continue to die.
We, the undersigned, protest the use of sonar by the Navy and would like to see it banned or limited to reduce the number of whale strandings. Each person who signs this petition is helping to make a difference and is greatly appreciated.
