Appeal for Guardian to sponsor Harbie and Florlet
Harbie and Florlet are valued and much-loved members of the Guardian Moorooka community. Through their consistency, warmth and genuine care, they help create a safe, nurturing and enriching environment where our children thrive. They have built strong, trusting relationships with both children and families, supporting each child’s wellbeing, growth and sense of belonging, values that Gaudian C&E uphold.
Harbie plays an important dual role at the centre, supporting children in their learning while also contributing as the centre’s kitchen and chef, preparing nourishing meals that support children’s health and comfort. He brings dedication, care and a strong sense of community to everything he does.
Florlet is a compassionate and committed educator who has formed meaningful connections with the children and families. She is also working towards building a better future for her family, with the hope of bringing her daughter from the Philippines to Australia so they can be together. Sponsorship is essential in helping her achieve this goal while continuing her contribution to our community.
As a community, we deeply value the continuity, relationships and high-quality care that both Harbie and Florlet provide. We understand that without sponsorship, they will need to leave Guardian. This would be a significant loss to our children, our families, and our centre.
We are asking Guardian to sponsor Harbie and Florlet in the 26/27 financial year, so they can continue to be part of the Moorooka community we cherish. Their dedication, care and contribution truly reflect Guardian’s commitment to supporting children, families and educators to thrive.
We don’t want to lose them or any other of our amazing educators on Visas.
