Gall-Peter Projection Please

Here in America we use the Mercator Projection as our map in schools. This map is completely wrong on the size of countries and continents! There can also be an argument saying that it is not socially equal to, but that is another story. I just want the right map to be used, and that map is the Gall-Peter Projection. As an American I value higher education, and this map change does just that! I am petitioning Congress to make this change, not for just for me but the rest of America's youth and future. Thank you!
