Corporations shouldn't take advantage of their loyal customers!

I am outraged, not because plastic bags are now banned in West Hollywood, but because Corporations are taking advantage of their consumers! Recently West Hollywood inacted a ban on ALL plastic bags. I am all for that because these create several detrimental havacs on the planet. The plastic beads called Nurdles that are used to create the bags can be carelessly dumped and end up in our oceans. Fish swallow them thinking they are fish eggs. Also over a billion plastic bags are produced each year which will either become landfill or be eaten by wildlife. Plastic bags resemble the sea turtles favorite food, jellyfish. What I do not think is right is for corporations to take advantage of their paying costumers! Places like Ralph's, CVS Pharmacy, Fresh & Easy and even the .99¢ Store, have been charging their customers a fee of .10¢ per bag! This is ridiculous! Why should these corporations make a profit on providing paper bags? Why are they allowed to monoplize on this ban? They should be thankful that they have customers willing to shop at their businesses! These corporations NEVER charged for their bags BEFORE this ban went into effect...So WHY are they allowed to do it now? These buinesses should provide paper bags for free or provide reusable clothe bags with their logo printed on them, which they could sell these for a minium cost. Charging for paper bags when most people didn't know the ordinance went through or continuing to charge and thus taking advantage of their costumers, screams nothing more than pure greed!
