Make better Sex Education available to teenagers!

As a young woman who since childhood, was taught to value human life from conception to death, I am calling for change in how Sex Education is taught in our schools, both in the US and in Europe.

Too often, Sex Education is limited, one-sided or vague when it comes to the realities of pregnancy and abortion.

Students deserve full, honest information, not just sanitized terminology or abstract definitions.

Every year in the United States, hundreds of thousands of abortions end preborn humna lives.

Most of these abortions are elective, not needed to save the life of the mothers.

Yet, many teens graduate high school without ever being shown what abortion actually involves or what alternatives exist.

Instead of simply labeling it as "Termination of pregnancy", like it was called when I was in middle school and my class was taught some Sex Education eleven years ago, schools should provide students with transparent, medically accurate and visual resources, including educational videos that demonstrate how abortions are performed and what happens both to the preborn baby and to the mother during those procedures.

This is not about shaming or fear.

It’s about truth.

Young people deserve to understand the full picture: the physical and emotional impact of abortion, as well as the value of choosing life.

Comprehensive Sex Education should empower students with knowledge about human development, prenatal life, pregnancy support resources, and healthier alternatives.

My petition calls for:
•Transparency in Sex Education: Require schools to include factual, medically accurate videos and explanations of abortion procedures, like the ones the organisation Live Action provides, narrated by former abortionists.
•Life-Affirming Curriculum: Teach about prenatal development, the humanity of the preborn and resources available for young mothers and families.
•Balanced Information: Ensure students are given the full reality of abortion alongside information about adoption, parenting support and community resources.
•Respect for Life: Move beyond euphemisms and allow students to confront the real, human consequences of abortion.

Young people are capable of handling the truth.

If we are serious about empowering students to make informed choices, then we cannot withhold information from them.
