Vice President Mike Pence is the most recent member of the Trump administration to abuse taxpayer money for travel expenses. On Sunday, Pence and his wife, Karen, used government travel money to fly from Las Vegas to Indianapolis to watch a Colts game, and then fly from Indianapolis to Los Angeles.
According to estimates by
CNN, Pence’s air travel amounted to about $242,500, though the total trip cost was probably closer to a
million dollars when factoring in other costs, like secret service.

President Trump instructed Pence to walk out if any NFL players excercised their right to peaceful protest by kneeling in during the national anthem in protest of racial inequality and police brutality. The likelihood of players #takingaknee was very high, especially since the Colts were playing the San Francisco 49ers - several of the latter team’s players have been kneeling during the national anthem since their former teammate Colin Kaepernick first began the protest in 2016.
That means that Vice President Pence likely spent over one million taxpayer dollars to watch one minute of a football game.The amount of corruption and ethics violations by the Trump administration is completely out of control. We cannot let this stand. The administration must pay taxpayers back for this complete and utter waste of government money. Please sign this petition today.
