Decriminalizing drugs promotes self accountability. Treating addiction like the disease it is instead of making it a criminal act allows us to help treat the issues instead of making the situation worse. Our prison occupancy levels would decrease greatly and offer our law enforcement to focus their attentions to more pressing matters.
