Two UK Dogs Starved So Badly, They Became 'Bags of Bones' That Could Barely Breathe or Stand

Animal rescuers in the UK were shocked when they encountered two starved dogs. The dogs - one named Wilma, the other named Robinson Crusoe - were from different households and different families.

But in both cases, one terrible fact remained the same. As Pip Griffin with the Dog Warden Service said: "heartless people intentionally starved these defenceless creatures and watched them suffer."

Even worse, both dogs were in the latter stages of starvation, getting to the point where their bodies couldn't last much longer. As the warden described, they were "bags of bones." Each and every rib in Robinson Crusoe's chest was showing through his skin, stretched painfully tight over his emaciated torso.

Meanwhile, Wilma could no longer stand up or hold herself upright because she was so malnourished and emaciated. She was even having trouble breathing: multiple times while trying to draw a breath in and out of her body, she collapsed. Ultimately, she needed to spend a week recovering under intensive veterinary care.

Luckily, neither dog is with their previous abusive, neglectful owners anymore. But we must make sure no other dogs are subjected to this torment, either.

Sign the petition to demand that the UK authorities ban these two sets of owners from ever owning, living with, or working with animals in the future! They cannot be trusted!
