Put a Stop To Demeaning Lyrics

For too long we have stood idly by and watched artists become popular for and sang and danced to expletive filled music that demeans both women and men, particularly men and women of color. These very talented artists, are playing into the societal depiction of a culture, that has already been treated with and viewed through a lense of disrespect. No matter how funky the beat or catchy the hook, we can no longer allow today's and future generations to sing and dance while calling each other b!#$&, Ho#$, and Ni&?!&$. Artists should think and write better and mainstream radio and TV should stop playing these dehumanizing songs, in the meantime.
