BACKGROUND: Both of the redistricting options developed by ArcBridge at the request of the Stafford County Public School Board split our relatively small Saint George's Estates (SGE) community between two schools. At a minimum, our neighborhood students should remain together at one school.
More importantly, given the projected growth patterns and estimated census for Rockhill Elementary School offered in the presentations and handouts, there is no discernable benefit in moving ANY of the SGE students to Garrisonville Elementary and much less, dividing our neighborhood to do so.
OUR REQUEST: Develop a solution to this arbitrary division of our neighborhood to ensure that students from St. George's Estates can remain together at Rockhill to avoid any unnecessary disruption in their education especially given the minimal impact such a change would have to the overall census at Rockhill Elementary School at implementation and in the future.
