Stop the slaughter of Elephants for religious Icons

Over 30,000 Elephants are slaughtered in Africa each year.(almost 100 PER DAY).much of this ivory is used for RC religious Icons.Yet the Pope refuses to sign the CITES treaty. WHY???
Please sign this petition requesting the Pope to sign and show love for GODS creations.
