Dogs are NOT a delicacy or any kind of food for human consumption. Faithful, loyal companions, dogs have dedicated their lives to help mankind. Please stop this horrible festival!

Dear Governor Brownback, Senator Roberts, Senator Moran and Mayor Schultz:
Please put an end to the annual dog meat festival in Overbrook, Kansas. How could anyone with a heart even think of a faithful, loyal companion as an edible product?! Dogs give us such devotion, loyalty and faithfulness. How many lives have they saved and continue to do so....and yet they are treated this way?! How many dogs help the diabled by becoming their eyes, ears, legs, etc,? Is their end reward to be served on a plate? This has to be one of the most inhumane acts I have ever heard about. Please, this must stop now!

I want to thank you all very much. I have been told that this "newspaper" is nothing but a fake and it enjoys making fools out of people. I heard from 2 people and got an email early this morning.
I'm so relieved that this festival is false, but I can't help but feel angry that anyone would take pleasure in duping people to believe such atrocities.
I am shutting down the petition but wanted to send a message to each and every one of you.
