Tell Michele Bachmann: Stop Targeting the EPA!

Recently, Michele Bachmann began to attack the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an organization she condemns despite having turned to them for help in the past.
Bachmann has referred to the EPA as the "job killing agency" and commented on her goal to have its "doors locked and lights turned off" if she is elected. But where was this hostility when she repeatedly petitioned the EPA for funding? In one instance in 2007, she asked for help funding "technical assistance programs and rural water initiatives."
Bachmann also problematically misunderstands the EPA's impact on the job market. In the next five years the EPA is expected to create "tens of thousands" of jobs and their projects are expected to have "virtually no impact on nationwide rates."
Michele Bachmann is welcome to her opinions, but attacking an organization that she has turned to with "facts" that simply aren't true is unreasonable.
Tell Michele Bachmann to stop targeting the Environmental Protection Agency.
Recent comments regarding the Environmental Protection Agency are both unnecessarily hostile and untrue.
All Americans are, of course, welcome to their opinions. However, describing the EPA as a "job killing agency" when the organization is actually expected to create "tens of thousands" of jobs and have "virtually no impact on nationwide rates" is not stating an opinion. It's promoting lies.
Regardless of your feelings towards the EPA, it is vital to completely understand an organization's role and impact before publicly condemning it. In this case the EPA's impact appears to been misunderstood. Please stop targeting the EPA.
