Save Jamaica High School

We, the students, staff, parents and Jamaica High School community would like to petition the Department of Education to reconside the phase-out of Jamaica High School. New York State has removed Jamaica High School from the "persistently dangerous" list and the school's graduation rate increased 10 percentage points. On March 26, 2009, the Jamaica High School building was declared a NYC Landmark. We, the students, staff, parents and community are outraged by Micheal Bloomberg and the Department of Education's decision to close Jamaica High School. HELP SAVE THE SCHOOL THAT MADE THE LANDMARK!!!
