Google, Stop Supporting Pentagon Drone Program!

According to Google, their goal is "to develop services that significantly improve the lives of as many people as possible."

But can you improve life by destroying it? That's the question Google employees are asking after they learned that the company has partnered with the Pentagon on a program that uses artificial intelligence to recognize images in videos. The technology could be used to improve America's controversial drone program.

The drones have been used by the government to attack targets from afar without risking the lives of American soldiers'. But they have also taken the lives of innocents as collateral damage.

Now, thousands of employees have stood up and asked Google to drop out of the project. A letter to the CEO begins with "We believe that Google should not be in the business of war."

Once upon a time, Google's motto was "Don't Be Evil." The three letter phrase was both quirky and deadly serious considering Google was on its way to becoming one of the most powerful and influential companies on Earth. With endless capacity and data on billions of users, the internet giant wanted to distinguish itself from other multinationals that seemed to care more about the bottom line than crossing the line. But in 2015, the moto was retired.

Here is a chance for them to show they still believe in their original values by not participating in projects that could lead to the death of innocent men, women, and children.

Please sign the petition and ask Google to pull out of the Pentagon project and publicly promise to never build warfare technology.
