Take urgent action to protect the rights of people with disabilities globally during COVID-19

We are calling on the United Nations and national governments to take urgent action on disability rights, which are being dangerously undermined during the COVID-19 health crisis.

People with disabilities are being disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. The UN and its member countries need to make sure that critical health information is being published in accessible formats, that people with disabilities can access the vital health care and personal support they need, and that the lives of people with disabilities are valued on an equal basis with others.

The discriminatory treatment of people with disabilities in the COVID-19 pandemic is a huge injustice, and must urgently be stopped. We call on the UN and its member countries to take action now.
