From ongoing drought that threatens our water supplies, dangerous ozone pollution that harms our public health, and frequent catastrophic wildfires, communities across the West are experiencing the impacts of climate change right now, in real time.

The impacts of the climate crisis are no longer a looming threat in the distant or even near future, they are now a present reality, and are being disproportionately felt by Western communities in the U.S, threatening our ecosystems and Western way of life.

Western Resource Advocates is working throughout our region to create climate solutions and bolster community resilience to these impacts.

We work directly where change happens: with state legislatures, local municipalities, and utilities and commissions. Our team of policy experts, scientists, economists, and attorneys work with policymakers and other advocates to advance clean energy, protect air, land, water, and wildlife — and sustain the lives and livelihoods of the West.

There's much work to be done to reduce greenhouse gas pollution to the levels needed to avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change.
