While visiting relatives in Iran, Canadian Hamid Ghassemi-Shall (pictured above with his wife, Antonella, upon his return home) was taken from his family on false charges, thrown into prison, tortured and sentenced to death.
After Hamid's wife Antonella contacted Amnesty International, thousands of supporters across Canada mobilized to save his life. With the help of people like you who take injustice personally, Hamid's five-year ordeal finally came to an end, and he returned to Canada.
