Many diseases plague our nation, but we are close to finding a cure for many! Juvenile Diabetes is one!

The best ways are by making a donation or volunteering with JDRF. JDRFs sole mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research, so you know that the money you donate or help raise will be used appropriately. In a typical year, 85 cents of every dollar we spend goes directly to research and education about research. JDRF has many wonderful opportunities for volunteers. Events such as Walks, Galas, golf tournaments, and various other fundraisers are great ways to meet other families dealing with diabetes and forge bonds that will last a lifetime. In addition to fundraising, JDRF volunteers also invest time in our grassroots advocacy initiatives, such as Childrens Congress and the Promise to Remember Me Campaign. While JDRF is the worlds leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research, we also advocate for federal support of diabetes research, in order to ensure that sufficient funds will be available to support the critical final phase of research to find a cure: human clinical trials.
