Demand Cruelty End in the Food Industry! AND Support for Workers Transitioning to Non-Violence!

Imagine being born voiceless and powerless in the below real-life scenarios:

  • Kidnapped, immobilized, malnourished, murdered and dismembered, 5 months old (You were born a boy) Dairy industry
  • Kidnapped, mutilated, forcefully impregnated, kept pregnant and lactating, babies stolen, pumped endlessly, murdered and dismembered (You were born a girlAlso Dairy industry
  • Kidnapped and ground-up alive, 1 day old (You were born a boy) Egg industry
  • Kidnapped, mutilated, confined, constantly menstruating, murdered and dismembered (You were born a girl) Also Egg industry
  • Kidnapped, mutilated, confined, fattened, murdered and dismembered (You were born) Poultry, pork, beef industries...

These horrific scenarios are standard practice in animal agriculture, but most people today are indeed opposed to slavery, mutilation, and violence based on age, gender, intelligence, bodily functions or physical characteristics.

There is a certain hypocrisy in protecting some individuals from violence while paying for violence against others.

It is time to align our actions with our values.

Please join us in signing this petition to:

      • Demand subsidies for vegan alternatives to meat, dairy, and other foods that have traditionally included animal products; as well as for fresh produce (make them affordable and accessible to all)
      • Demand incentives that support workers in-transition from violence to non-violence
      • Promote non-violence by consciously purchasing plant-based at stores, restaurants, and online, shifting demand from violence to non-violence

      The movement is gaining momentum:

      • Animal rights activists are challenging cultural norms and revealing the horrors these animals face.
      • Scientists are exposing critical connections between animal agriculture and the climate crisis.
      • Sociologists are revealing historical and modern links between violence toward animals and violence towards humans.
      • Physicians and dietary organizations are overturning long-held beliefs that animal products are essential for humans to survive and thrive.
      • Farmers and industry workers are transitioning lands and expertise to support non-violence.
      • Food companies are developing an array of plant-based alternatives to replace traditional meat and dairy products.
      • Stores and restaurants are offering more plant-based options.
      • Customers increasingly choose to no longer pay for violence.

Yet, worldwide demand for meat continues to grow 5% every year. We must do more!

Please sign, refusing to support violence and demand that the government take these two definitive measures to bring about a long-overdue end to animal cruelty in the food industry!
