Stop Use of Animals in Combat Trauma Training

A new discovery shows that animals are still being used in our country as part of a combat trauma training program.  The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine or PCRM is asking for our support in speaking out to Congress, asking for their full support of the Battlefield Excellence through Superior Training or BEST Practices Act that is designed to end the use of animals in combat training courses. You can read more about this practice and how to help at https://secure2.convio.net/pcrm/site/Advocacy?alertId=656&pg=makeACall.

Human-based medical training courses are much more effective with trauma training programs since they are more effective and efficient.  The use of animals for this type of training is clearly cruel, abusive and against the regulations of the BEST Practices Act.

Our efforts in this petition is to ensure a full national ban on the use of animals in combat trauma training while fully supporting the Battlefield Excellence through Superior Training or BEST Practices Act, (S.1550/H.R. 3172). This beneficial bill is designed to end all such combat trauma training and you can support our efforts by signing and sharing this petition. Let’s be a voice for all animals that get caught up in combat trauma training and support the BEST Practices Act.

U. S. Congress – Our hope as supporters of this petition is to ask you to fully support and co-sponsor the Battlefield Excellence through Superior Training or BEST Practices Act, (S.1550/H.R. 3172).  Animals in no way should be used in combat trauma training course. It is needles and unethical practices, resulting in the abuse and cruelty of animals.  Ensure that only human-based programs are engaged and enforce the BEST Practices Act that will keep all animals safe and out of combat trauma training courses and methods.
