Save Children 404 - LGBTQI Teen Support Group

Elena Klimova saves lives. And for that, Russian authorities would like to punish her.

Elena founded Children 404, a popular online resource for LGBTQI teens in Russia. Absurdly, the official media watchdog has said Children 404 could "create positive attitude to non-traditional sexual relations" and should be removed.

"Children 404" alludes to the message "404 Page not found" that you see when a web page does not exist. Since the introduction of the "gay propaganda" law LGBTQI youth are growing up with the message that they don't have a place in society.

"It is only on the internet that they can find somebody to speak to. The feeling that most of these children feel is constant fear."

Elena's been found guilty of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations among minors".

Children 404 risks being shut down.

Without your help, children at risk of suicide and self-harm will have nowhere to turn.

Stand with Elena and demand the "Anti Homosexual Propaganda Bill" be repealed.
Dear Prosecutor Sergei Alekseevich Ohlopkov,

I am writing to you to express my deep concern that Elena Klimova has been found guilty of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" and that her right to a fair trial has been violated.

I urge you to:

-- End Elena Klimova's prosecution in connection with her Children 404 project immediately, and end the harassment of the Children 404 project.

-- Repeal the "homosexual propaganda law", and ensure full respect for every person's right to freedom of expression, assembly and association in Russia.

Thank you for giving this matter your urgent attention.

Yours sincerely,

LGBTQI activists arrived at court for the hearing on 6 April, to discover that it had already taken place on 25 March. As Elena Klimova was not regarded as a party to the case, she was not informed about the date of the hearing. The judge has ruled that Children 404 must be blocked. Please keep calling for the bill to be repealed.
