Save the Melbourne Underage Scene
To have the recent decision made to ban underage Shows in the Melbourne CDB be reversed immediately.
We the undersigned wish to protest at the unfair decision to ban Underage gigs in the Melbourne city area. By no longer allowing licensed premises to host these gigs, young Australian bands will have limited opportunities to perform and young fans will have almost no opportunity to see and encourage the bands. Without any community consultation, Liquor Licensing Victoria (Part of Consumer Affairs Victoria)Board have implemented a ban that will seriously dent the growth of Melbourne’s music industry, while taking away an important recreation option for the under 18s. We do not condone the actions of that at the Metro, but one problem should not result in this. We ask that this decision be reversed immediately.
