Pesticide Corporations Have Been Poisoning Communities for Years. They Want to Block People from Suing Them For It.

Pesticide corporations don't want you to be able to sue them if their products cause you or your family to develop cancer, Parkinson's disease, or other health conditions. In fact, these corporations - like Monsanto's parent company Bayer as well as Syngenta - have been pushing U.S. states to pass laws that would protect them from lawsuits.

It's obvious why they're doing this. Right now, Bayer (Monsanto) faces approximately 67,000 lawsuits over the deadly health effects of their products, like glyphosate-based RoundUp. Meanwhile, around 6,000 similar lawsuits have also been filed against Syngenta.

That's why we must support Senator Corey Booker's new legislation that would "ensure that pesticide manufacturers can be held responsible for the harm caused by their toxic products." Sign the petition to demand that the U.S. Congress pass the Pesticide Injury Accountability Act!

Congress's first priority should be the American people and their well-being, not shielding corporations from the consequences of their own reckless actions. Without laws that safeguard everyday people's rights to hold these multi-billion-dollar companies accountable, they're going to just keep poisoning people with their toxic chemicals.

Experts estimate that Bayer's current market worth sits at around $33.7 billion. Syngenta brings in around $20 billion per year. Yet they both want the unlimited ability to keep selling their disease-linked products with complete, unchecked immunity.

In fact, these corporations have already successfully convinced lawmakers in two different U.S. states to grant them "liability shields" so that residents there cannot seek justice. And what they've done in Georgia and North Dakota, they want to do in the rest of the country. We cannot let that happen. We MUST hold these greedy, profit-bloated, toxin-spewing corporations accountable.
