Australian Kangaroos Slaughtered as Pests
The Australia tourism industy is launching a massive advertising campaign in the UK to promote their Kangaroo Island as an ideal hoilday destination. The Logo, a Kangaroo, is on display with life size cardboard Kangaroos seen all around the main tourist hotspots, this, despite the chilling fact that thousands of Kangaroos are destroyed annually and are considered pests who endanger other Australian wildlife. The baby Joeys are ripped from their mothers pouch and killed by clubbing or being stomped on. China has a huge market for Kangaroo meat and skins... which Australia obligingly fulfills.One cannot help see the hypocrisy in this situation. Please support the Kangaroos by signing this petition and boycotting the Australian Tourism industry until laws are put in place to protect these beautiful animals.

We the undersigned protest in the strongest terms to the Kangaroo being used as a Logo to support the promotion of Australias' Kangaroo Island as a hoilday destination for Europeans. Taken into account that your Government considers Kangaroos pests and systematically slaughters these innocent creatures, selling their meat and skins to China, we urge you to take note of the hypocrisy in using the Kangaroo as a promotional mascot. It appears that the Kangaroo is being simultaneously exploited and destroyed. We undertake to boycott Australian Tourism until this situation is remedied.
