Changes must be made to save MWO from complete failue

We the undersigned are very concerned about the state of the MWO plantinum market and believe some significant changes must be made to revitalize the game.

Let us first start by stating a truth about this game: YOU MUST HAVE
PLATINUM TO PROGRESS TO A HIGH LEVEL PLAYER AND TO
CONTINUE PLAYING AS A HIGH LEVEL PLAYER. No player in MWO has
ever progressed to a high level without platinum and no high level player
is able to continue playing without platinum.

For the first 6 months of playing this game there were enough platinum
buyers to maintain a viable market where the non-platinum buyers could 
exchange gold and gear for platinum or power level a character to level
40 in exchange for platinum. Contrary to what MWO may believe, power
leveling characters to 40 is not  the preferred method of gaining
platinum and is not easy to do for the vast majority of players. 

Players normally use a combination of buying platinum, selling legend and
gold gear to platinum buyers and power leveling some characters to 40 in 
exchange for platinum (selling gear had always been the best way to
gain  platinum for high level players). In the last  several months many
players have left the game for various reasons and the loss of so many
players (including new platinum buyers) has forced more and more high
level players to rely solely on power leveling characters  to level 40 in
order to gain platinum. The platinum market was being kept alive almost
exclusively by those players who were power leveling characters to level
40.

The remaining high level players (most of whom have spent hundreds of
dollars on platinum) are now starting to leave the game because its not
possible to play MWO without platinum. Those of us who now remain
refuse to take part in a game where its necessary to purchase platinum
indefinately just to play the characters we have already spent hundreds
of dollars on to build. In taking away the ability to gain platinum without
buying it, MWO has essentially swindled platinum buyers out of their hard
earned money. Very few players (if any) would have been willing to buy
platinum to build their characters had they known MWO was going to pull
a fast one and take away the ability to gain platinum without buying it.

In the short time that it has not been allowed to power level players to
40 for platinum the MWO platinum market has almost completely
collapsed. We believe that it will be in everyones best interest (both
players and MWO) to impliment changes that will revitalize the game such
that a viable MWO market exists once again. The main goal of these
changes will be to bring back the players that have left and to also attract
new players to the game by word of mouth.

We ask that the following changes be made for a period of at least 6
months in an effort to bring this game back from the edge of complete
failue:

1. Allow players to once again power level characters to 40 for the
purpose of gaining platinum. However, a limit of 1,000 platinum per week will be placed on each player so that this method to gain platinum is not abused.

2. Allow players to exchange gold for platinum. We recommend a well
established rate of 50,000 gold per platinum.

3. Guarantee the success rates such that once a player goes beyond the published rate their next attempt under the same exact circumstances (i.e. having the same exact success rate as the previous attempt) will succeed at a 100% success rate.

Until these changes are made, every signer of this petition will no longer
purchase any platinum. We believe the game will eventually die without
these changes and have no interest in wasting any more of our hard
earned money on a game doomed for failure.
