$50 billion boycott of the $25 billion bailout

To the reperesentatives of the people:
We the people say enough is enough. Stop wasting our hard earned money & our childrens future. The Big 3 (Ford, GM  & Chrysler) and the UAW spend a lot of money contributing to political campaigns & lobbyists and therefore give them a voice in congress.
Instead of accepting the blame for their failures, they want to shift their losses on the taxpayers. There are 17 foreign car companies manufacturing in this glorious country of ours and showing it CAN be done properly at a profit.
A few examples of the big 3's failures are:  In at least one factory they have a room setup with beds. If an employee shows up for work drunk they are told to clock in, and then go sleep it off while getting paid for their time.  In another factory their union contracts demand they have X amount of employees working each shift and our fined for any violations of having less then X amount of employees. Therefore the factory pays a number of people to come in every night for third shift (when the most workers tend to call off) clock in, and spend 8 hours sleeping so that they always have the required amount of employees on the clock
Paying an average total wages (including benefits, pension) of at least $65 an hour for people that cut the grass, & put on lug nuts.
Charging a premium price for their vehicles which are inferior to foreign cars.

However due to their political contributions / lobbying they are on the verge of getting a government bailout to the tune of $25 billion (on top of $25 billion already approved to help them upgrade their facilities to create more enviromentally friendly vehicles).
It is time for we the people to make our voice heard. Alone our voice is swallowed. United our congress must hear our voices.
Therefore we the people, in the event of a government bailout will boycott buying vehicles from any company receiving money from these funds. By getting 2.5 million signatures with the average car selling for over $25,000 this is potentially a boycott of over $50 billion Dollars.
It is our hope that the big 3 restructure and once more become profitable. The airline industries have shown it can be done. However even if they fail at least it will be a lesson to others not to make the same mistakes. Small buisness owners know that they will pay for their own mistakes. It is time for CEO's to take their responsibilities just as seriously.
To this we afix our signature:
Make your voice count. Say no to bailing out the automakers.
