Delta, Fire Employees Who Tied a Disabled Woman to Her Wheelchair!

All you one has to do is see the look of agony on Maria Saliagas's face to know that her flight to Europe went terribly wrong. Her photo — which has now gone viral — shows the woman, who suffers from MS, tied to a wheelchair and dumped in the airport by airline staff.

Maria Saliagas was determined not to let her disease stop her from taking her annual trip abroad with her husband. So in order to make her international trip go as smooth as possible, her family made arrangements for her wheelchair to be waiting for her on the other side of the Atlantic when she finally arrived in Amsterdam. Her wheelchair has special straps that help her sit up straight comfortably.

But when she arrived in the Netherlands her chair was nowhere to be seen. That's when Delta employees decided to improvise. The airline staff put her in a regular airport chair, grabbed a blanket and forcibly tied her to it. They tied it so tight that it caused bruising on her biceps.

According to her son, after Maria began to cry, staff told her to "'shut the f— up' or she would be 'left there.'"

Delta has since apologized and offered her a measly 20,000 free Skymiles, but sometimes sorry isn't enough. The airline employees who did this should be fired for the way they treated Ms. Saliagas and her family.

Sign the petition and ask Delta to fire the airline employees responsible for this disgrace.
