Michael is a hero who fought for our country and deserves to be home with his family. He earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star medal and saved many lives, American and Iraqi alike, as an Army combat medic during the 2 deployments he served in. By signing this petition you help show that Michael deserves to have his sentence reduced and should be with his family.

Dear Army Parole and Clemency Board,
We the undersigned ask that you please reduce Michael P Leahy Jr's current sentence. Michael served honorably for almost 6 years in the United States Army as a Combat Medic. On August 18th, 2007 he nearly lost his life for our country. He was awarded the Purple Heart during his last deployment and the Bronze Star on his previous deployment. The point we want to make known is that Michael is a good soldier, a great friend, a loving son and brother, and a wonderful husband. We do not feel that he deserves to be at the United States Disciplinary Barracks, Fort Leavenworth any longer. Michael is the kind of soldier that you will find running into the burning building to save lives, not running away. Michael is the friend, brother, son, and husband that is there when you need him most no matter what or when. Thank you for your time and consideration.
