ONE MINUTE TO READ, 30SECONDS TO SIGN, A MASSIVE CONTRIBUTION IN HELPING US HELP OTHERS: HELP US HELP YOUNGSTERS WITH THEIR MENTAL HEALTH, BY ENSURING THAT MENTAL HEALTH IS RECOGNISED WITHIN SPORT AND SOCIAL ACTIVITY.

Hi all,

Our team is campaigning for more to be done with regards to Mental Health Awareness training in Sport.

Statistics show that 1 in 4 persons across all ages struggle with Mental Health problems. This is a totally unacceptable figure, and we can do more.

Sport is widely known to play a big factor in helping release some of these issues even for a short period of time. However can everybody hand on heart say they could recognise a problem?

We are petitioning Various sporting bodies, from athletics, football, hockey rugby and also social inclusion societies such as Scouts and beavers, to work with the hundreds of Mental Health Charity organisations in the UK, in order to in-still Mental Health Awareness training to coaches/staff in those activities.

There is a reason behind this and a big one and that is quite simple: We have been affected by mental health and are fully aware that one of the biggest anti - depressants is sport and physical activity.! In an ideal world we would like to see everyone working in sport receiving this training.

Together we can not only help those struggling already working sports, but also show others that aren't, that sport is a good place to come.

Knowing that your coach understands what it is you or your child going through is a massive relief.

Whilst this may not affect you now, down the line it could or it could affect your CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES, NEPHEWS, BROTHERS, SISTERS, CLOSE FAMILY FRIENDS or even YOUR BEST FRIEND.

Plans are in place for our team to walk from St George's Park (FA HQ) to Slough in 2019, via various other sporting HQ's. This is in order to raise money for the charities mentioned, to support them financially in helping this training get off the ground.

We first hand know coaches schedules are hectic, many being volunteers. We are campaigning for this training to be hosted as an online course that can be done from the comfort of your own home.

We cannot do this alone, WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!
