SAVE THE WILD HORSES

Unless H.R. 297 and S. 576 are passed quickly, our wild horses and burros will continue to be rounded up and sold for commercial purposes, including slaughter. Today there are over 4.2 million cattle on our public lands, but only an estimated 37,000 wild horses left. The enormous public lands comprise areas larger than the size of France. It is an out and out lie to say that there is not enough room for the horses to live out their natural lives in their natural habitat.The wild horse population is not starving, they are not ruining natural land but the cattle are.  30,000 horses are now held in pens and sanctuaries across the country.  Congress and President Bush have been bought by the cattle lobbyists.  Please help save the horses.
