Demand an end to forcing foreign cultures on American Students!

It was brought to my attention vis the television news cast, that the State of Wisconsin wants to enforce teaching all our students about the Hmong culture because of the influx of the Hmong people in our state. Meanwhile, many of our Wisconsin students are living in poverty, lack medical care, and cannot afford to have dependable and adequate food supplies. A lot of our students, elementary and college alike, cannot read a map, make correct change without a calculator, or read a clock that is not digital. I feel our educator's priorities are mixed up here. What most people want is to be able to go to a local retail store and give the clerk cash and receive the correct change in a reasonable amount of time. A simple "Thank you" would also be nice. When I was at Menard's over the Christmas holiday season the computer's went out. The clerk's could not do a basic transaction. It is simple math. The one young lady could not read the analog clock, she could not tell me what time it was. This is a disgrace. Now, the State of Wisconsin along with the US Educational system wants to force all students to learn about Hmong culture. I believe that the State of Wisconsin and the US Education system should be teaching our children how to do basic math without a calculator, how to read an analog clock, and how to read a map without GPS, and how to write a complete sentence. There will come a day that the grid goes down and our children will need to know basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills in order to survive. Knowing the Hmong culture is not going to help them survive in the real world. Unless they are planning on letting the Hmong run the country and speak their language. How about we teach our children American culture, English- the primary language of the US, and basic mathematics so when the computers/grid goes out we can operate and function as the great country that we are known to be.
