Improve Car-Free Access to Dayton, OH Area Grocers

According to the 2000 census, 1 in 5 households in Dayton are without a car, many more people prefer to bike, walk or take transit rather than drive their car, yet few grocery stores in the Greater Dayton, Ohio area are designed with pedestrians and cyclists in mind, especially those with disabilities. As a group, car-free and car-less shoppers are too numerous for these stores to ignore, so speak up by signing this petition! Don't forget to leave a comment saying where you shop and what improvement you'd like to be made. This petition will be presented to all stores mentioned in the comments.
We the undersigned would like to see improvements in access to Grocery Stores in the Greater Dayton, OH area for bicyclists, pedestrians and users of public transit, including...
  • Secure, quality, well-placed bicycle racks
  • Safe, convenient, wheelchair- and cart-accessible paths between stores and bus stops and other pedestrian paths that are kept free of snow and ice in the winter
  • Grocery stores allowing RTA buses to stop in their parking lot when appropriate and improving existing bus stop facilities.
