A Petition to Encourage Ohio University to Favor Conflict-Free Electronics

The second deadliest war in modern times is raging on in the Democratic Republic of Congo where armed groups enslave, rape and murder the Congolese people.  These groups finance their campaigns of terror through the trade of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, "conflict minerals" used in our everyday electronic products.  The lucrative market for these conflict minerals provides the means and the motivation for the violence to continue.  In hopes of decreasing this market and taking a stand against the war, I wish for Ohio University to pledge to favor conflict-free electronic products when making purchasing decisions.  Signing this petition indicates my full support.
