Donate for Behr's Hip Replacement Surgery

I never thought in a million years I would have to do this, that is ask for help. Who knew?

Let me introduce myself, Hi! My name is Erica Danow. I live in South Florida and I own a dog who is (I think) a Rhodesian Ridgeback Sheppard mix named Behr (named after the paint company).
Let me tell you his story.
Behr has had a hard life since birth. He was not born in someone's home on top of a soft blanket nor was he raised with his mother. Behr was born in a field, out in the hot sun of south Florida. I am not sure if he was thrown in the field left to die or his mother just dropped him at birth or his mother was in the middle of moving his litter mates when the field was being mowed. But Behr, he was found alone.

He was given to me while I was volunteering for a ARF, (an animal rescue group). I became the foster care coordinator just after a few months being with the group. Behr was only 5 days old the day I got him. Eyes and ears shut, his umbilical cord still attached and so, so cute. I wasn't thinking of keeping this pup, well maybe. As time went on, I just fell in love I couldn't give him up, he's my baby now. How could you not become attached to something so cute and having to feed it with a bottle, make him go to the bathroom, and showing him things?

Now, Behr has problems with his left hip. It was noticed when he was young that he may have problems by the look of his back legs, he is very bow legged. He is only 3 years old and can't run like a normal dog and I've only come to realizes this. As a pup he never really ran around outside, he would only do a small spurt and then sit. I just thought he didn't want to be far from me. Recently he's started falling and then crying and it's  started to worry me. I want to do the very best for him, but now times are tuff. I am not working and having a really hard time trying to find work. I am living with my parents and they are also in tight times since my father has been through cancer (and is thankfully okay) .

I have taken Behr for X-rays and his left hip is lame, X-rays show poor coverage of femoral head left hip, early arthritis development along joint capsule attachment, thickening of femoral head. Right hip looks good (thank god).

Please make a donation. Any amount will help.
