Tennessee's Republican Party is running a YouTube video that repeatedly shows clips of Michelle Obama's statement, "For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country," in an attempt to portray her as unpatriotic. This is the same Republican party that issued a press release in March using Senator Barack Obama's middle name, Hussein, and showing a photo of him in what the party described as "Muslim attire."
Tennessee Republican Party officials should be ashamed of themselves. Michelle and Barack Obama are true patriots who love this country, and we the American people will remember these offensive smear attacks on November 4th. Tell the Tennessee GOP: Leave Michelle Alone!
The Tennessee GOP's recent YouTube video attempting to portray Michelle Obama as unpatriotic is a low class smear tactic that the American voters will remember come November 4th. I want to hear the candidates talk about the issues that affect my family - I do not want to see the candidates' families attacked. Stop your smear campaign and leave Michelle alone.
