Lower CoD: Black Ops DLC Prices!
It was just announced that in February, video game companies Activision and Treyarch would be releasing the first downloadable content (DLC) for their hit game Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Black Ops is one of the year's biggest and most successful titles and has a fan base in the multimillions.
That being said, they are charging a ridiculously high fee of $15.00 (or 1200 Microsoft Points on XBox Live) to purchase the game. This is a quarter the cost of the entire game but a fraction of the content. Previous DLCs have cost only $10.00while the exact same content is totally free for PC users. Activision is taking advantage of their fan base and trying to get every last penny out of them.
What we ask is that Activison/Treyarch either lower the cost of their DLC back to the original price of $10.00 or that they include more content into future releases.
We the undersigned would like to encourage you to lower the cost of your Downloadable Content for the game Call of Duty: Black Ops. You are asking too much of your already dedicated fans by placing the price on DLC at $15. Without a change, we will stop buying the DLC and with given enough time and without enough support from you, we may just stop buying the games all together.
We've already shelled out $60 for the game itself and asking for an additional $15 is just unfair. No DLC is worth that much, it certainly isn't 1/4 of the content that is actually in the game.
Please consider one of these two options. One- Lower the cost of DLC to $10 where it was only three years ago. Two- Include more content than just the four multiplayer maps and single zombie map that are included with the purchase.
