Annual Check-Ups After 70
Something terrible just happened to one of our friends. He is a trucker and was doing one of his jobs. It happened in Key West. He stepped out of his truck and a Buick car with and 85 year old man and an 83 year old woman hit him and dragged him 20 feet from his truck. Long story short, he died. We were all devastated. The Buick stopped 400 feet from the truck. We dont know why they stopped so far but i think there should be a law about this.
I think that when a person reaches 70, the government or the county could do annual check ups to check vision, hearing and reflexes. By doing this, the elderly would be safe on the road and the people around them too.

We, the undersigned, think that after a person reaches the age of 70 the government or the county should do annual check ups to check the person's vision, hearing and their reflexes. There are hundreds of thousands of people getting injured and even killed because of elderly accidents. I have nothing against elderly people. In fact, i love them. But, its a safety hazard to our streets because their ability to react to things decreases.
