TD Canada Trust has a responsibility to its Customers not the Thieves!!!!!!!

Please sign your name and city below to this petition to get TD Canada Trust to take responsibility into the fraud and identify theft that occurred against me and to stop hindering the investigation. TD Canada Trust needs to release the photo to the Police so justice can be served.

On January 28/12 I reported my TD Canada Trust Debit Card stolen as well as another bank Visa Card. For the past two weeks I have visited several TD Banks in person and have made multiple calls to TD Bank Branchs' as well as to the Banks Fraud Investigation Unit, many which have gone unanswered.

It was obvious to me that the staff I met with immediately treated me as a criminal and accused me of committing fraud.  The immense emotional stress of having multiple cards stolen was furthered by my encounter with the TD employees who suspected me as a criminal, knew information regarding the transactions I was not aware of, and provided absolutely no support, direction, or recommendations on how to go about resolving the  theft issue I was reporting.

I am the victim of this situation and should not be treated as a criminal. I am outraged that the TD Bank does not have to release the photo to the police for a proper investigation. The system is set up to protect the criminal. Why do I pay monthly bank fees?   I am perplexed how the system allowed three cash withdrawals in a row along with a fraudulent deposit, which I did not perform that also lead to another withdrawal, this was allowed to transpire without being flagged as suspicious or a denied transaction.  I prompt further due diligence to resolve the crime that has occurred.   Based on my account history I believe anyone would agree that the incident is not reflective of how I have managed my account for two decades.  I would not and did not make three withdrawals in a row and then return in the middle of the night to make a false deposit.  I have been victimized and feel it is unfortunate the account was not frozen when these inconsistent transactions began occurring.  The bank seems to not want to help me as my PIN was guessed on the first attempt. I question why the bank refuses to figure this out as well why were my daily limit securities not put into place?

We the undersigned are requesting that you take responsibility in protecting your customers and stop allowing thieves to get away with fraud and theft.

Recently, your 20 year customer Stacey Wood was the victim of fraud and theft in London, ON as her TD Canada Trust Bank Debit card was stolen from her wallet which resulted in a thief making 4 withdrawals and a fake deposit. TD Bank has confirmed they have a photo of the thief and are refusing to give it to the police for further investigation.

It's time the bank accept due diligence and figure out how the thief was able to use the debit card with no pin mismatch.

Although, the money stolen may not be considered significant to TD, it is a significant loss and impact to a personal client as well as to her credibility and possibly her future credit rating.

We the undersigned are asking that TD provide the level of customer service it has grown to be known for as well realize that Stacey Wood did not commit this crime and should not be held responsible for it. The police are willing to investigate if only TD Bank would release the suspect photo.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
