Team 7: A Healthier Campus

We [Chante McCullers; Chelsea King; Jenard Moore; Kendall Williams; Ayoka Wilson] are students of Dr. Reyes%u2019 EASC 201 class and we believe that all people are responsible for creating a cleaner, safer environment for their peers. In order to achieve this goal we plan to implement a campus wide ban on all tabacco products and their use. It is a well known fact that firsthand, as well as secondhand, smoke is the number one cause of preventable deaths in our country today. The U.S. Surgeon General has concluded that breathing even a little secondhand smoke poses a risk to your health. Scientific evidence indicates that there is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke. Although some may argue that a ban on smoking would violate our constitution given rights, we must also consider those who choose not to smoke.
