Technology in Education

The purpose of this petition is to remedy the current education crisis that the United States is currently facing. Education is extremely underfunded, and we are falling behind the rest of the world. A major area that we are lacking in is technology. We need to greatly increase federal funding towards getting computers into classrooms, and developing the technologies that go along with this. For example online servers that are accessible to both teachers and parents. With funding this could be developed nationwide to bring about increased communication between students, their parents, and teachers. The increased interaction basically guarantees increased academic performance.
In order to go through with this plan schools need funding to pay for the technologies, train teachers to use it correctly, and to purchase much needed computers for students that do not currently have access to one. Our education systems needs help, and we need to get started on changing it for the better.
