Change the Playstation suspension system now

From my personal experience, I know that suspensions should exist because of what people do over the psn network. What we should change about it is the category you get suspended in. Let's say that you make fun of someone over ps messages, if you break the terms of service while using that, you only get suspended from messages.

This is very similar to the Xbox system where it says needs work on your profile and instead of suspending the 400+ dollars you spent on the system and games for the Playstation it suspends you from what you used. So if you were violating terms of service on PlayStation messages it would be the normal suspension process except only affecting messages. If you have been doing so in communities then you will not be able to use communities for however long but it won't affect your entire account.

I feel this should be put into place, I have spent over $500 on the console including games. Why should a suspension take away the right to play the games I have purchased and taken away the ability to play them. If I spend $60 on a game that I enjoy why should a suspension take that away.

This will change the suspension system to only take away what you were misusing. If you did something bad you will be only punished on what you used so that way it could be a more fair system. The suspensions will become increasingly longer each time until you cannot use that anymore.

The only things this will affect are Playstation messages, communities, parties, and your account.

1. Each time that you violate the terms of service for communities, messages or parties it will start like a normal suspension except it won't be account-wide, it will only be focused on one of three categories.
2. For messages it will first suspend your use of messages for first a week and then increasing it by a week each time terms are violated again. This will be the same for parties and communities
3. If you do it all so many times that your account gets suspended you can still play the games that you bought but you will be restricted to only being able to play those games offline.
4. Each of these will count up to five times. So when you violate the terms of service on any of these you will be suspended on that category for a week and for each time it happens again a week will be added. The maximum amount of time you can be suspended for on each category will be two months.

If you have been manipulating the network, ip booting, and or any form of hacking your total account suspension will last for a week. This new system will prevent you from losing the money you spent on your account. Instead of the two suspensions, PlayStation will give you before you get banned. This system will prevent you from doing bad by restricting what you did it on. If you are constantly bad mouthing people over messages you will no longer be able to use it for a certain period of time.
